My experience at this Riad was quite disappointing. The initial welcome was marred by a major issue with our room assignment, which added a lot of stress to our stay. The location is decent, tucked away in the Medina which gives it a unique charm, but the service left much to be desired. Additionally, the room comforts were inadequate, making it hard to feel at ease during our time.

I booked the Indigo room with a terrace for my family, but upon arrival, we were placed in a small room without a window, which was a huge letdown. The room felt claustrophobic and poorly maintained.
Service
5.0
The service was lacking; I dealt with miscommunication regarding my room and felt like staff were dismissive about my concerns. It felt more frustrating than welcoming.
Location
6.0
The location was acceptable, situated within the bustling Medina and not far from the significant square and souks. However, the noise from the street was bothersome and made for a less comfortable experience.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were minimal; breakfast consisted mostly of bread and jam, which was fine but nothing special. A bit more variety would have made it far more enjoyable.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities seemed outdated, and the bathrooms were not as clean as one would hope for a boutique hotel. Overall, it didn’t feel luxurious or well-maintained.

My stay at Riad Abaka was truly magical, nestled in a charming lane of Marrakesh Medina. The enchanting atmosphere, warm service, and spacious, beautifully decorated rooms made for a delightful experience. However, my arrival was marred by a lack of airport pickup and some issues with room privacy that could use improvement.
Rooms

The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated, though if you're after total privacy, be aware that the en-suite bathroom lacks a separating door.
Service

The staff were extremely nice and helpful, always looking out for us and providing great local recommendations.
Location

Located just a short walk from the Jemma el-Fna square, the riad is perfectly situated but still tucked away enough in the Medina to escape the crowds.
Dining

Breakfast was okay but not as lavish as I'd hoped, with limited options that felt a bit underwhelming compared to other places I've stayed.
Facilities

The common areas, especially the patio and rooftop, were lovely spots to relax and take in the views.

Riad Abaka offers a unique atmosphere tucked away in the narrow lanes of Marrakesh Medina. While I found the staff to be incredibly kind and the breakfast delicious, the room quality was inconsistent, and the overall cleanliness and organization left much to be desired. The location is truly enchanting, but some aspects do not reflect the charm one expects from a boutique hotel.
Rooms
6.0
My room was spacious and nicely decorated, but it lacked privacy with the en-suite toilet not separated by a door. Opening the windows helped bring in light, but I was situated right next to the reception area, which wasn't ideal for relaxation.
Service
5.0
The staff was friendly and attentive, especially Khadija, who made me feel welcome. However, the service was often slow and unprofessional, with requests for items like drinks unfulfilled until I had to follow up myself.
Location

Centrally located in the Medina, it’s a short distance to the main square but still feels like a hidden retreat. The charming narrow streets add character, though they can feel intimidating, especially at night.
Dining

Breakfast included a nice variety of typical Moroccan fare, but it started a bit late for my day tours, which meant I missed it on a couple of mornings.
Facilities

The communal areas could use some attention; I often found dirty tables and uncleaned spaces. The outdoor areas felt tired and neglected.

My stay at this riad was a mix of charm and disappointment. Although it was positioned in the Medina with a quaint ambiance, the experience fell short due to multiple issues including poor service and miscommunication. The location was decent, but I faced challenges that marred the overall experience, making it hard to recommend this place without reservations.
Rooms
5.0
The room was small and dark, located near the reception, which made it noisy throughout my stay. It was not as spacious or comfortable as advertised.
Service
5.0
The service was lacking; communication was poor, and the staff seemed overwhelmed and uninterested in addressing our concerns. From check-in to room service, it felt disorganized.
Location
6.0
The location was central, making it easier to navigate the Medina, but reaching the riad was challenging due to misleading directions and some aggressive locals.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was mediocre at best, lacking variety and warmth; it wasn't on-site, which was an inconvenience when trying to enjoy the meal.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities felt more like a hostel than a boutique hotel, with basic amenities and a lack of a cozy atmosphere. It didn’t meet expectations for a boutique experience.
